These are the alterations to F3K rules we will be following: |
| |
-
5.7.1 1. no official timekeepers - use your own helper.
It is your responsibility to obtain a helper before each round.
-
5.7.2.4 If a plane goes into a tree you do not need to retrieve it.
All other times, the plane must be retrieved.
-
5.7.4.3 There are two safety areas.
- One safety area it defined as the area containing the parked cars and pitts/tents known as the 'pitts'.
Landing or flying below 3 meters in the 'pitts' will incur a 100 point penalty off your contest total score.
- A second safety area is defined as the soccer and ball fields and adjacent parking lot immediately
West of the flying field known as the 'front field'.
Landing or flying below 3 meters on the 'front field' will result in a zero for the day.
-
5.7.6 (clarification only)Times will be scored based on when the plane comes to a 'stop'.
Timer will not stop time if the plane contacts a ground based object like a tree branch, grass,
streamer pole, etc. and is still in motion. The plane is considered to have stopped also when it touches
the pilot or their timer, or if the window time has expired. A plane must land with some portion of the plane within the
launch/landing field or be touched while airborn while the pilot's both feet are within the launch/landing field to be valid.
-
If window timer fails, round is re-flown. If Your Personal timer’s watch fails you must continue flying.
