Ray has been keeping busy building. Here are some comments and
pictures.
I flew Sal's Cub last summer and it looked so neat in the air. That's what made me want to build
one. I brought it to the club meeting and I got the biggest insult, " Is this a ARF? "

I also built this Cub in honor of my very good friend Pete Destefano. Did you know that he won a model building contest when he was a kid? The first prize
was a trip to Penn. and to meet Mr. Piper himself. Mr. Piper took a liking to Pete and gave him a summer job at the plant where they were making
the full scale J-3's. He worked there for several years and they taught him how to fly, he then tested the new Cubs as they came off the assembly line. I
think the town was Scranton, PA. Pete told me this story when we once took a trip to the Toledo Model Show, it was a long ride. You said you wanted some
History.

This is, if you remember, my Cutie and SR Batteries have made a wing conversion so that you can build a new wing with ailerons for the Cutie.
Mine came out weighing just 4 oz. heavier than it was without the wing servos. It also sports a new symmetrical airfoil which will allow you to
fly inverted and make rolls. It may be under powered but I won't be able to know that until I fly it. If it is under powered then I can put a
Grauppner 480 motor in it. It will be just a drop in and provide the extra power I will need. That would cost just about $10.00. SR also came
out with a new electric model called the Acro-Pro and that is a more powerful rendition of the Cutie.

At the moment I am currently working on a Biplane called the Bucker Jungmeister, it has been my favorite airplane for as long as I can
remember. It is an electric version and I got it from Hobby Lobby and the instructions are all in German. It has a Fiberglass fuselage and the
wings and tail are all built but not covered. It will take a 10 cell power pack and a Phasor Motor.
I was at the Wram Show on Friday and was not impressed with what I saw. I think the Blizzard stopped a lot of Vendors from coming. I spoke with
the editor of Quite Flyer Magazine and we spoke about my Silent Dream, he thinks it is just one great flying glider. He would like me to send
him pictures of our club activities during the coming season. See you all soon. Ray
Hi, This is how far I got with the Bucker Jungmeister so far! It is a Hobby Lobby Kit imported from Germany and the plans and instructions are
in German. It is really a remarkable kit. The fuselage is fiberglass and the rest is balsa, I only have one dilemma and that is trying to paint
the fiberglass fuse and matching it to the covering. I know that they sell a cloth iron on covering, but it is very heavy. The color is like a
Cub Yellow and if you can't get the paint to match the covering it will look kinda strange. If I use a film covering it is too shiny, I can
always find a flat paint to paint it with. But I never saw a flat film covering. So if I use a glossy covering on the wings and tail, then I
guess I will have to use a glossy paint. Suggestions are welcomed. Ray

Hi, This is how far I have gotten with my Bucker Jungmeister, it has been an experience building it with German Plans. I still have to cover
it and paint it and hook up the Rudder and Elevator and Ailerons. Ray

Hi Rich, Thought the guys might want to see my Bucker in the air. It flew out at Calverton and it flew very well.
Handles like a baby carriage. Ray
